Innsbruck Region: Schloss Elmau

Meeting with alpine luxury and breathtaking nature

About 50 minutes by car from Innsbruck or 90 minutes from Munich airport, the five-star luxury hotel Schloss Elmau presents itself as a green portal to the Austrian border and is located between the metropolises of Munich and Innsbruck. Amid breathtaking Alpine scenery, not far from Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze, Schloss Elmau also offers an extensive wellness, culture and fitness program. As a conference hotel, Schloss Elmau has been world-renowned at least since the G7 summit held there in 2015 and receives numerous awards every year. The hotel offers plenty of scope for new ideas, first-class service and an extensive range of activities in the wide and protected high valley of the Bavarian Alps.

Two hotels – one resort: the spectacular hillside location combines nostalgic flair with modern, creative design. While the rooms in the castle impress with sumptuous interiors in gold, fine wood and muted colors provide quiet, unobtrusive luxury in the 162 rooms and suites.  The lavish spa area includes three spas, a hammam, seven pools, 22 saunas and many other amenities that will delight any wellness lover. An extensive gastronomic offer, libraries, lounge areas and a legendary concert hall are further features of the resort, which has been awarded several times as the world’s best five-star wellness hotel.

Culinary delights

Altogether eight restaurants, three bars & lounges as well as one on the 1.203 meters high Alm invite the guests on a culinary world journey. Whether in the two Michelin star award-winning “Luce D’Oro”, in “La Salle” with Open Kitchen or in the Jazz Piano Bar; guests have a variety of options to enjoy culinary delights or to have a drink in a convivial atmosphere.

Whether conference, meeting or incentive, Schloss Elmau is the ideal place for events at the highest level. Many different rooms offer the perfect ambience for every event. In addition to the large hall with space for up to 250 people, a number of smaller rooms and restaurants are available for up to 70 people. The total of four meeting rooms have conference lighting and can be darkened if necessary. Various conference packages and individually configurable conference technology are available.

Hike and lunch at Elmauer Alm
For lunch, the alpine pasture, built in 1924, invites you on a 1,203-meter-high ridge at the foot of the “Wilder Kaiser” rock massif. During an approximately 40-minute hike, you can enjoy the impressive landscape and look forward to Austrian delicacies and Tyrolean dishes. The ascent to the alp is also rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic round view of the Bavarian Zugspitze to the Karwendel mountains.

3 D archery
Archery as a 3D animal picture course is a wonderful way to relax from the demanding everyday life. In the 3D animal picture course, various stations with different 3D animals and animal pictures have to be “targeted” in the open terrain. These are located at different distances and terrains, which means that the shooter is always faced with a new challenge.
