Hanover

Hanover is an important center in northern Germany and mainly known as a trade fair city such as the Hannover Messe. In 2000, Hanover hosted the Expo 2000 world exhibition, for which the exhibition grounds were extensively expanded, making it the largest in the world today.

The historic old town with its picturesque half-timbered houses has a very special atmosphere that quickly captivates tourists. Bistros and pubs, elegant boutiques, art galleries, antique dealers and little specialist shops give these idyllic streets their own unmistakable charm.

The Old Town Hall(Altes Rathaus) in particular is a favorite meeting point for strollers through the old center. And with a bit of luck, you may find that your visit coincides with a concert of classical music.
A popular recreational area is the Maschseelake in the middle of the city, where various water sports activities can be practiced. TheHerrenhäuser Gardens, one of the most important and best preserved baroque gardens Europe, are also a nice visit.
