Mainz: Conference Program

Historic city of letterpress

Mainz is a 2000 year old city in the south west of Germany, where the River Main joins with the River Rhine. Wiesbaden is located just across the Rhine and is only a bridge crossing away. Thanks to its proximity to the financial metropolis of Frankfurt and the international airport, Mainz is easily accessible.

The spirit of invention has a long tradition in Mainz: Johannes Gutenberg and letterpress printing belong to Mainz like Mozart to Salzburg. His millennium invention is still honored today in numerous monuments and museums that can be explored on the so-called “Gutenberg Trail”.

Despite its relatively small size, Mainz offers a magnificently restored old town with small streets and large squares which are not only full of boutiques and stores, but also a popular destination for pubs and wine bars in the city´s nightlife.

Besides Cologne, Mainz is also the carnival stronghold in the country. A visit is worthwhile not only because of this but also because of the cozy wine taverns and the extremely good selection of restaurants.

Hilton Mainz

Located on the edge of the picturesque old town of Mainz and directly on the banks of the river Rhine, the Hilton Mainz offers modern accommodation of the highest standard. The very spacious and comfortable rooms have large windows and are modernly designed in warm colours. A summer terrace with a magnificent view of the Rhine invites you to relax. As a conference hotel, the Hilton offers the perfect location for successful meetings, conferences or events.

Culinary delights

Local and international specialities are served in the in-house restaurant. Special emphasis is placed on regionality and variety, resulting in innovative dishes made from fresh ingredients. The restaurant is open all day and also offers a bar & lounge. The adjacent terrace is located directly on the banks of the Rhine river and promises a fantastic view. The all-inclusive buffet here is known far beyond the city limits of Mainz.

The hotel offers excellent conditions for a successful event; from small meetings to large conferences for up to 400 people. Facilities include ten multifunctional meeting rooms, including a ballroom, a large foyer area, a business centre and an exclusive brasserie with a dreamlike view of the river for up to 160 people. Event guests also benefit from direct access to the Mainz Congress Centre.
